Living on the Brightside

tosprinklejoy asked: How was your Big Big day?

It went really well, thank you! I am happy to say that the poster session is over and I just have a ten minute presentation, a ten page paper, and a final draft of my study stand between me and graduation :)

Big Day

Big day, lots to do and lots of important things happening. I cannot wait for 8pm when I can crawl into bed after a *hopefully* successful day!

Happy Hump Day!

Little Things

Sometimes the little things are the ones that make you smile the most—today has been filled with them. Today I’ve enjoyed the following:

Great phone conversations.

Early morning productivity on a sunny patio.

Lots of espresso.

Trip to the gym with good music and a gossip magazine.

Induldging in my favorite food.

Accomplishing a large task that has been months in the making.

What brightened your day?

I made a decision to make my health and fitness a priority at the beginning of April and I am happy to report that things are going pretty well! I have taken to getting up and getting a work out in before heading to the office or leaving on time in order to make an evening yoga class. I have found that I am feeling better and in a better mood since making these changes to my lifestyle.

I can also say that some updates to my VERY tired workout wardrobe have made the transition a little easier. (Workout pants from high school are being phased out!) I included some of my current favorite items—a few from lululemon and a little gapFit.

What are your favorite workouts? What about favorite workout style?

There are few things that I love more than a monogram.

I have, since childhood, wanted my initials plastered all over my bags, books, and clothing. I think that there is something so simple and stylish about it. Using a classic script and traditional layout, there is nothing better than your name emblazoned on your belongings.

Above I have included some recent finds that take this trend on. I think that they are all fabulous in their own way and really, just a lot of fun!

What is your favorite classic trend?
